We Get Outdoors Podcast

Jun 15, 2020

Today we meet Lauren Arthur, WildEarth Safari LIVE presenter, Marine Biologist, World Wildlife Fund Voices Ambassador, Zoologist and ocean lover.

Lauren is recently back from sleeping on the rim of an active volcano and managing to film the almost extinct Ethiopian wolf. Having left her home city of Edinburgh in Scotland to pursue a career as a Marine Biologist in the Maldives, Lauren has observed first had the real impact man has on the oceans, dramatic increases in plastic waste and micro amounts now being in all fish we eat as well as bleaching of coral are just two of the impacts she has scientifically measured. In her opinion we have only 10years left to save our oceans!

From this work, Lauren got head hunted to use her degree in Zoology and join the team at Safari Live (now WildEarth) the worlds first LIVE YouTube twice daily safari guided exploration. Twice a day she guides her live viewers around the Africa savannah joining on to Kruger National Park, regularly spotting animals like Leopard, Lion and Hyena as well as the equally impressive Elephants, wild dogs, buffalo’s and much much more.
